Genetics

Sire Line

His sire Calando II and his offspring are among the best sires in Switzerland, by Cor de la Bryère.

Palestro II, himself a participant in the 1992 Olympics, has produced excellent show jumpers in Switzerland with just a few products.

Irco Polo, internationally successful under Paul Weier, produced several sons in Holland and Sweden, who in turn produced international horses. He also bred excellently in Switzerland and became the father of several advanced level horses.

In the mother line we also find the performance blood of Prince Ned xx and Cavalier by Cardinal xx.

Dam Line

The dam, Palmira von Hof, at the age of 11 recorded over 75 SI and SII classifications under Sandra Puttalaz (amateur) and a total lifetime earnings of over 31,000 CHF.

Cleopatra, once the star of our farm, was a beautiful trustworthy mare with a lot of scope. Although she only competed up to 130, the best thing about her was her character. She would never turn down a challenge and it was rare to go to a competition where she wasn’t highly placed, even when ridden by children.

Career

Cernunnus von Hof has several victories and classifications up to Grand Prix and International level. He was sold to junior Addison Philips in the summer of 2007. 2005-Spr160/

4 Years Old

Cernunnus won the promo final in Avenches.

5 Years Old

Was a promotion finalist and already had RIII classifications.

6 Years Old

Was again a promotion finalist and classified in the RIV/MII.

Won the MII final of the CH horses at the CSI Geneva.

7 Years Old

Was in the super promotion final.

Had already wined the RIV and was classified S.

8 Years Old

Was used in junior tests.

Won the RIV/MII.

Was classified in the SI.

Was 10th at the Swiss Junior Championships.

9 Years Old

Was trained by Dehlia Oeuvray-Smits and was immediately used internationally.

Offspring

Cernunnus has around 40 offspring. Some of his daughters have already been used for breeding again. Its expression and agility, along with all of its great charactheristics, are passed on to the offspring. They often jump with the same enthusiasm as their father.
